Seattle has been one the league’s best teams during the past three seasons, and as recently as last winter, they played in the Super Bowl. Unfortunately for them, they suffered a loss in the final seconds against the New England Patriots. Anyway, what´s made Seattle into a solid contender is their defense. The Seahawks D last year was the best of all the 32 teams, if you look at total yards per game, both when it comes to running and passes. In defense against the passing game, tonight’s opponent Kansas City was second best. Seattle was the best when it comes to points against as well, with an average of 15.8 per game. A really good number, almost crazy. Speaking of crazy, Kansas City Chiefs did not have a single touchdown by a catch from a wide receiver during the entire last season. Both teams played quite high scoring affairs during Week 1, Seattle fell 22-20 against Denver and the Chiefs defeated Arizona with 34-19. It should be mentioned that Denver is the team in the league that has made by far the most points in recent years, so 22-20 looks worse than it is. Now I believe, however, that both teams’ strong defensive will cancel each other out, so that we get a rather low scoring game tonight. Under 40.5 total points gives you the odds 1.93 at Pinnacle Sports.
